GE HealthCare (GEHC) plans to partner with the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine on developing new women's imaging MRI protocols and educational materials regarding the use of MR to image the pelvis.
UCSD's Center for Translational Imaging and Precision Medicine (CTIPM) will be the site of the collaboration. The project will be led by Rebecca Rakow-Penner, MD, PhD, associate professor of radiology and bioengineering at UCSD and deputy director of CTIPM. The MR imaging protocols will help better visualize endometriosis and ovarian cancer, GEHC said.
