Interventional Radiologist Technologist – Saint Louis, MO

Position Overview:

This position involves providing essential support for a busy Neuro-Interventional Radiology (NIR) department, assisting physicians in the performance of complex procedures such as cerebral angiograms, coiling, stenting, embolizations, and stroke thrombectomies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with Neuro-Interventional Procedures:
  • Position patients for optimal image acquisition during neurovascular procedures.
  • Operate and maintain Siemens Bi-plane imaging equipment.
  • Assist with image acquisition and post-processing.
  • Circulate during procedures as needed.
• Patient Care:
  • Assist in preparing patients for procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any concerns to the physician.
• Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment:
  • Adhere to strict infection control protocols and ensure a sterile environment.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Professional Development:
  • Participate in continuing education courses and maintain professional certifications.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R)) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist in Vascular/Interventional Radiology (R.T.(VI)) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Neuro-Interventional Radiologist Technologist is required.
• Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to work 4×10-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 5:30 PM).
  • Willingness to participate in weekend call rotation (every other weekend).
  • Ability to travel within a 75-mile radius of Saint Louis, MO.
