Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Carlsbad, NM

Join the Virtus Healthcare Staffing Team! We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our partner, a healthcare facility in Carlsbad, NM.

Job Description:

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients for various diagnostic procedures.
• Operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners.
• Acquiring high-quality images for diagnostic interpretation.
• Analyzing images and assisting in the diagnosis of disease.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.
• Ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
• Collaborating effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Maintaining equipment and ensuring proper functioning.
• Adhering to all safety regulations and quality control procedures.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• New Mexico State License for Nuclear Medicine with image fusion required
• CNMT or ARRT (N) certification required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with PET/CT imaging
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule:

• Clinic hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday.
• No weekends, no evenings, no on-call shifts.
